Class 47 No. 47715 is available for lease to support operational, engineering, and heritage railway requirements. Although the locomotive is not currently certified for independent main line operation, it is maintained to main line engineering standards and is fully capable of being hauled over the national rail network to sites across the UK.

This provides customers with a flexible and cost-effective solution for deploying a powerful diesel locomotive without the need for road transport.

Class 47715 is currently awaiting the planned fitment of modern safety and communications systems to future-proof its operational capability, including:
